The Hawaii-based Teddy’s Bigger Burgers, which started in 1998 in Honolulu and has since expanded in the US mainland opened its first outlet in the Philippines on August 2014 at Greenbelt 3 in Makati. Seeing that this franchise has been successeful internationally in Japan, Thailand and Saudi Arabia, it was brought in by the High Jap Group of Marvin Agustin whose restaurants portfolio include Sumo Sam, Marciano’s and Akira. Teddy’s Bigger Burgers is a “reinvention” of the ‘50s style burger joints, with a 50’s theme and a simple menu of burgers fries and old fashioned milk shakes. What sets Teddy’s apart is they only use 100% fresh chilled ground U.S. chuck (no fillers or binders). Burgers are hand pattied daily and always flame broiled to order. Their signature burgers are the Kailua Burger with Teriyaki Sauce, Swiss Cheese, Grilled Mushrooms and caramelized onions and the Bacon Me Crazy with a double serving of smoked bacon, Cheddar Cheese and Cream Cheese . We highly recommend upsizing to a 9oz pattie for carnivores to appreciate a higher meat to bun ratio.
